Earn a student membership!! ($85 value)

By volunteering a total of 10 and a half hours at select ACF Student Chapter events, college and university level students are able to earn an ACF Student Membership! Volunteer credits and the resulting membership is valid for one year.
These events include:

The St. Joan of Arc French Festival

    : Saturday, September 12, 2015

  • Students can volunteer the day of the event or during the week leading up to the event.
  • Students assist in making an array of foods that are then sold the day of the festival. Last year the menu included fruit and cheese plates, quiches, ratatouille and duck confit salad
  • Volunteers are needed to prep in the kitchen and working in shifts to staff the ACF tent at the festival the day of the event.

Vintage Indiana

    : June 6, 2015

  • Students can volunteer the day of the event or during the week leading up to the event
  • Students assist in all stages of preparing brisket for sandwiches to be sold the day of the event
  • Volunteers are needed to prep in the kitchen and working in shifts to staff the ACF tent at the festival the day of the event.
  • Students who volunteer on-site at this event must be age 21 or older

Garden on the Go

  • A partnership where students demonstrate how to prepare a quick, healthy meal at various Garden on the Go sites

ACF Indianapolis Junior Culinarian Chapter

For high school students between 16 and 18 years of age

We welcome your attendance and participation at ACF Indianapolis events, where you can learn more about the local culinary schools, industry and chefs! You do not have to be an ACF member to attend monthly meetings or chapter events, but we invite you to learn more about becoming a member!

A Student Culinarian is a student or apprentice with less than two years full-time employment, a student enrolled in an accredited postsecondary culinary education program, or a registered apprentice as defined by the ACF apprenticeship training program. A student membership is subject to a limit of four years. Current cost is $85.
A Junior Culinarian is a High School student between 16-18 years of age. Current cost is $70.
